A shoplifting arrest occurred in Laurel County on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. The arrest occurred around 4:10pm at the Walmart near Corbin after the loss prevention team detained the suspect. Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Jamie Etherton arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation. He learned the subject, identified as 21-year-old Christopher Hicks, had allegedly been observed concealing items on his person. The total value of the theft was $67.64. Hicks was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
