The smoke has cleared, as a local historical festival comes to an end. The Battle of Middle Creek re-enactment and the Kentucky highland folk festival brought large crowds to the Middle Creek National Battlefield this weekend. Re-enactors traveled from different parts of the state, and from as far away as South Carolina to participate in the battle. The folk festival was able to keep the music flowing, and entertained the onlookers with several local favorites.
