West Virginia is set to follow some of her neighbors with Elk re-introduction programs. Officials have announced plans to create two wildlife management areas in Logan and McDowell counties. The state has not announced where they will acquire the animals from, but Division of Natural Resources Director Bob Fala suspects they will come from Kentucky, which has supplied Elk for similar programs in Virginia, Missouri and Wisconsin.
