The Council on Postsecondary Education voted to amend minimum requirements for admission and course placement standards at state-supported colleges and universities. The amended policy would require students have a minimum 2.5 GPA to be admitted to a public four-year university. Students with a GPA between 2.0 to 2.49 could still be admitted if they sign a learning contract with campus specifying expectations. The CPE also approved campus proposals for 2018-19 tuition and mandatory fees at the state’s colleges and universities. Of the state’s universities, Eastern Kentucky and Morehead State did not receive rate increased and both had tuition freezes.
