The fate of a Magoffin County building is still unsure.

Another vote goes in favor of tearing down a historical building in Magoffin County. All but one board member voted in favor of demolishing the old church, to clear land for the new public library. This has come amid a hail of public outcry, demanding that the church be preserved. County Judge Executive “Doc” Hardin has proposed a second site for the library, which board chair Ronald Gullett declined since the property is low and not as good as the current location. David May is the only board member who has opposed the demolition, and said he will continue to so long as he can.
