Those wishing to test into the 94^th State Police academy at the University of Pikeville have until Monday October the 5^th to get their paperwork in. Those interested will have to take a written, then a physical ability examination. Some of the minimum requirement for acceptance include proof of citizenship, must be at least 21, and possess a valid driver’s license. Troopers are also required to have completed 60 semester hours of college classes, have served at least 2 years in the military, or worked 2 years as a full time police officer.
