Those wishing to test into the 94th State Police academy at the University of Pikeville have until Monday October the 5th to get their paperwork in. Those interested will have to take a written, then a physical ability examination. Some of the minimum requirement for acceptance include proof of citizenship, must be at least 21, and possess a valid driver’s license. Troopers are also required to have completed 60 semester hours of college classes, have served at least 2 years in the military, or worked 2 years as a full time police officer.
