Wil Lanigan is the Commander of the Veterans Helping Veterans organization, which operates in Kentucky, West Virginia and Ohio. According to Lanigan the goal of the organization is to help veterans who are having trouble returning to civilian life. According to Lanigan this cause is dear to his heart, since he has walked in these veterans shoes. While the organization does utilize government facilities, they do not receive federal funding.
