State Representative Rocky Adkins filed paperwork on Thursday, January 24, 2019 to run for Kentucky Governor. Adkins said he is running because Kentuckians deserve a governor who will stand up for them. The democratic leader in the Kentucky House is running with Stephanie Horne, a former Jefferson County School Board member and attorney in Louisville. Adkins announced his candidacy for governor on November 14, 2018 in Morehead, Kentucky. The campaign reported earlier this year it had raised over $620,000 in less than two months.
