Floyd County Schools has announced the results of the Region 34 Elementary Governor’s Cup Competition. Students competed in Composition and Future Problem Solving on February 25, 2019, while written assessment and Quick Recall competition took place Saturday, March 2, 2019. Betsy Layne Elementary hosted all events. May Valley Elementary School placed first Overall, in Future Problem Solving, and Quick Recall, followed by Prestonsburg Elementary School. Allen Elementary School placed 3rd overall, with South Floyd Elementary coming in 3rd in Future Problem Solving.
