On Sunday, April 21, 2019, around 11:30pm, Kentucky State Police Trooper Steve Walker conducted a traffic stop on a 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck on Cromer Ridge Road in Laurel County. Upon further investigation, it was determined the operator, identified as 57-year-old Timmy Fields, of East Bernstadt, was under the influence. During a search of the vehicle, approximately 2.5 pounds of suspected methamphetamine was located along with drug paraphernalia. Fields was charged with driving under the influence and other traffic charges. He and his passenger, 44-year-old Traci Rayburn, were also charged with trafficking in and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
