The Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky has partnered with the Education Foundation for America to launch a mini-grant program to address food insecurity in our region. Grants will range from $5,000 to $10,000 awards. Organizations that should apply include local food pantries, churches, community centers, after school programs and childcare facilities, farmers markets, community and school gardens, farm to school initiatives, and other nonprofit partners that are already working on issues of hunger and food access for low-income families. Proposals are due on May 13, 2019. For more information or to apply, email Lora at lora@applachianky.org.
