Dole is pulling nearly 34-thousand bags of fresh spinach salad from shelves in 13 states. A product test by the Michigan Department of agriculture and rural development discovered Salmonella in some of its samples. Salmonella is a bacteria which can cause diarrhea, fever and abdominal pain, and can be extremely dangerous to young children, the elderly and people with a compromised immune system. The recalled bags are coded A27409B and A27409A, and have an ‘enjoy by’ date of October the 15th.
