Floyd County Schools Early Childhood Programs are being recognized for their outstanding performance. The Big Sandy Area Community Action Program Grantee Head Start Office conducts an annual record review of the 63 classrooms in the region, with Floyd County Schools ranking in the top 22 classrooms recognized. Classrooms at Duff-Allen Central Elementary, Allen Elementary, May Valley, and John M. Stumbo Elementary were in the top three spots, with South Floyd ranking sixth of the 63 classrooms.
