The remains of 49 year old Granville Sewell Jr of Breathitt County were discovered floating in the Kentucky River near Old Quicksand Road about a mile and a half from Jackson. Sewell was reported mission on November 27th by family members, and the KSP had been in the process of investigating the disappearance. Breathitt County Sheriff Ray Clemons told WYMT that he had not ruled out foul play, but it was too early to tell. Sewell’s body has been taken to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Frankfort for an autopsy.
