Commissioner Rodney Brewer announced that the food drive gathered 123 tons of food. The food is gathered by the KSP every year and distributed to shelter, pantries, and churches across the state. According to brewer a friendly competition has developed between KSP posts to see who can get the most donations, and Post 16 out of Henderson was this year’s champion with nearly 45-thousand pounds of food. This is the 6^th year of the food drive, which has amassed 780-thousand pound of food since its founding.
