The Kentucky State police are asking the public to buckle up for Christmas

According to a release as of December 21st there had been 712 deaths on Kentucky roads, which is over a 10 percent increase from last year. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration wearing a seat belt in the front seat reduces your risk of injury by 45 percent. In a statement to the media the KSP is going to dedicate its resources to bringing in extra patrols, and road checks. They ask the public to help them out, because no one wants to have to inform a family of a fatal crash during the holidays.
