Unemployment in the Mountain State made a slight dip

According to Workforce West Virginia, the state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped two-tenths of a point to 6.3 percent. To put that in perspective the national unemployment rate is 5 percent. A strong December saw the number of unemployed West Virginians drop by 18-hundered to just under 50-thousand. While this is a strong gain, the total number of unemployed West Virginians rose by 36-hundered.
