Tivis Newsom, age 86, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2020 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Tivis was born on Sept. 6, 1933 to his parents the late Estil Ted Newsom and Lilie Mae Bryant Newsome.

Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Wednesday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Willie Meade officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
