A Trooper on US 25, tried to pull over a pickup for minor traffic offenses.

The driver 26-year-old Courtney Duff  began to accelerate at a high rate of speed after the trooper activated his emergency signals. During the chase Duff’s truck lost control causing it to flip several times.

Duff sustained fatal injuries, two other passengers were in the truck and were airlifted to University of Kentucky Hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Officials said alcohol and drugs are suspected to be a factor in this investigation.
