Deputies Make Multiple Arrests While Recovering Stolen Property

Deputies are investigating a couple burglaries and theft cases in the Betsy Layne and Harold communities and so far have made several arrests. Thursday evening deputies recovered a stolen enclosed pull trailer along with a stolen vehicle. Then on Friday sheriff Hunt and deputies executed a search warrant at a residence located in the Printer community. The search resulted in recovering numerous stolen items including a generator, air compressor, pressure washer and assorted tools. Deputies also discovered illegal drugs including crystal meth, an illegal firearm and several individuals wanted on outstanding charges. The five people arrested so far are as follows:

Nikki Spurlock- Bench warrant for failure to appear,

Shawn Spurlock- Possession controlled substance 1st methamphetamine, trafficking 1st degree methamphetamine, persistent felony offender 1st, menacing, disorderly conduct 2nd, receiving stolen property U/10,000, possession of firearm by convicted felon and 4 bench warrants for failure to appear in Floyd County, 1 bench warrant for failure to appear in Anderson County;

Stacy Carroll- assault 3rd degree, resisting arrest;

Brandon Little- assault 3rd degree;

Ray Hyden- Felony probation violation bench warrant from Daviess county, Probation violation failure to appear bench warrant from Jefferson county, failure to appear bench warrant form Bullitt County.

These cases remain under investigation with more arrest coming.
