Over the past couple of days Whitley County has seen the worst flooding in more than 40 years.

Many people have had their homes destroyed and needed to be rescued. 

Emergency officials think there are at least seven homes in the water, and six underwater.

This has been the worst flooding since 1977 and will probably go down as the second-worst flood ever in Whitley County. 

So far nobody has been seriously hurt.

Whitley County officials said they have been in contact with state officials in Frankfort for emergency help.
