A crash happened on US 119 at around 11:30 yesterday morning. An SUV hit a tractor trailer nearly head-on.

“He hit the first, appeared to hit the front wheel and then bounced down through the fuel tank and then hit the front wheels of the back duals,” said Deputy Graves. “He [the driver] has been flown to UT in Knoxville.”

The driver of the SUV was left seriously injured and was flown to UT hospital in Knoxville.

The road was closed for little over an hour before re-opening.
