Whitesburg Shoplifter Claims To Have Coronavirus

The Whitesburg City Police Department reported that on Tuesday, March 31st, they received a shoplifting complaint from the local Wal-Mart.

After arriving to the scene, staff members informed officers that the woman, Lily Blackburn, was running a high temperature and had been tested for COVID-19 and was awaiting results. The officers took every precaution and asked the woman to leave from the closest exit.

The next morning, Whitesburg Police obtained records via a subpoena to verify the information they had been given. They learned that Blackburn had not been to see a doctor in years.

After confronting Blackburn at her home, Blackburn admitted to never being tested for COVID-19, instead trying to use that as a get out of jail free card.
