A group of three individuals have filed a lawsuit against Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear among several other officials. The lawsuit accuses them of going “too far” when it comes to restrictions put in place to combat the spread of COVID-19. They specifically referred to the violation of religious freedom. The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday of this week. The lawsuit, in addition to Governor Beshear, was also filed against Boone County attorney Robert Neace and acting secretary of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Eric Friedlander.

As a part of the lawsuit, the trio is attempting to get the order of the governor previously set in place against mass gatherings and travel declared unconstitutional.
