Legislators have halted an anti-discrimination bill in the Kentucky House of Representatives

The legislation is designed to protect citizens from losing their jobs, or housing based on their gender identity or sexual orientation. Representative Mary Lou Marzian of Louisville proposed the Bill. She pulled it from committee consideration because she did not feel it had enough support to pass. Marzian accused conservative representatives of bigotry after they voiced their opposition. House Speaker Greg Stumbo called the attack unwarranted.
