At least 3,373 Kentuckians have contracted the virus. The death toll is now at 185.

During the news conference, the governor announced that all Kentuckians may now be tested at state-run testing sites. Previously, only Kentuckians who showed certain symptoms were eligible for testing.

One in state testing site is at the Shelby Valley High School campus. On Wednesday, Kroger Health employees said they saw more cars make their way through the testing tent then the previous day.

According to Kroger’s Andrea Keller, 1,000 tests are available and the goal of the tent is to administer around 300 tests per day.

Pike County Health Department Public Health Director Tammy Riley said the testing is quick and painless. Tests are sent to Gravity Diagnostics and results are released to patients within 48 hours. Those results are also sent to the state health department.

Pre-registration for testing is not required.
