Three Arrested On Drug Trafficking Charges

Floyd County Sheriff’s Office Deputies received a tip Sunday night about a black passenger vehicle traveling on KY RT 80 being involved in illegal drug activity. Deputies located a vehicle matching the description turning off of RT 80 onto RT 122 in Martin. Deputies along with the Martin PD conducted a stop on the vehicle near the Martin triangle. As deputies were talking to the vehicle’s driver, they could see a white, crystal-like substance in plain view. They were then assisted by K9 unit “Drago” who conducted a sniff search of the vehicle. By the end of the stop and investigation, deputies alongside Martin PD had discovered approximately 40 doses of heroin, 90 grams of crystal meth, digital scales and other paraphernalia along with money and a gun.
Three people were arrested on drug related charges and lodged in the Floyd County Jail. The three arrested were as follows:

Bradford Hunt, age 45 of Langley KY was charged with possession of a controlled substance in the 1st degree, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating on a suspended license, and possession of a controlled substance in the 2nd degree.

Rodney Scott, age 42 of Garrett KY was charged with possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance in the 2nd degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

And Nikki Spurlock, age 29 of Printer KY was charged with possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, trafficking a controlled substance in the 1st degree, possession of a controlled substance in the 2nd degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.
