New Cases Reported In Johnson And Laurel Counties

Counties across our region of Kentucky have reported new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday.

Officials from the Johnson County Health Department reported one positive case at Venture Home in Paintsville. They claim the patient is asymptomatic and doing well. The facility is on lockdown and no visitors are being permitted at this time. Residents aren’t being allowed to leave the building. All Venture Home residents and staff have been tested and they are expected to get those results back sometime today.

Laurel County Health Department officials reported three new cases and two newly recovered cases on Wednesday. A total of 55 people have contracted the virus in Laurel County. 31 of those cases are still active with 22 having now recovered and three cases being hospitalized.
