Two people have been arrested in connection to a shooting that took place at Betsy Layne last weekend.

According to a statement released by the Kentucky State Police, the victim was found lying in the roadway on Bobcat Boulevard and was taken to Pikeville Medical Center to get treatment for a gunshot wound.

According to the statement, one of the persons arrested has been charged with first-degree assault and first-degree robbery. The second person who was arrested was charged with first-degree robbery. More charges could be filed as this case develops.
The names of the arrested were not released by Kentucky State Police as the case is still ongoing.

The victim, whose name has also not been released, is in critical condition.
