Post 5839 in Prestonsburg has plans for a ground breaking ceremony for their 24 bed facility on April 2nd. The shelter will have sleeping accommodations, kitchen, computers, and other amenities for homeless veterans and their families. The facility is not designed to offer permanent housing. The goal of this shelter is to help veterans and their families get back on their feet.
