
A Bell County man is accused of stabbing his ex-wife on the 4th of July and Police are asking for help finding him.
Officials with the Middlesboro Police Department say that 56-year-old William Gunter of Middlesboro stabbed his ex-wife at a home off of Cumberland Avenue.
Police say that when they arrived, they discovered a woman with a serious knife wound to her throat. Officers then performed first aid until EMS arrived.
Despite the injuries she sustained, she was still able to tell police that her ex-husband stabbed her.
Gunter had left the home before police arrived.
Due to the severity of her injuries, the victim was flown out for medical treatment.
A warrant for Gunter’s arrest has been issued.
