Tuesday, the Floyd County Health Department sadly announce the death of a senior male who passed away from COVID related issues who had underlying health conditions as was reported today by the Governor.
“We are sad for the family and offer our condolences to them during this difficult time. We are also reporting the 41st case in the county. Many of our cases reported since June 14th have been related to travel or from exposure to other cases of the coronavirus. Our numbers are up from 18 to 41 cases since June 14th. Our contact numbers are growing as people continue to get together for group vacations and other types of gatherings and do not wear a mask or practice social distancing.” They posted to their Facebook.
They also reminded everyone of some things we can all do to slow the spread of this virus and includes limiting travel, wearing a mask when outside the home, continuing to wash our hands often and practicing social distancing by staying at least 6 feet from others who are not part of our own households.
The Floyd County Health Department is asking everyone to come together to make the community safer for all who live and work there. Please help everyone by doing your part to stop the spread.
