A Pike County woman was indicted yesterday on charges of child sex trafficking, transporting a minor across state lines for criminal sexual conduct, and producing and distributing child pornography.

Kena Reed, age 27, of Pinsonfork was indicted by a federal grand jury. Both the trafficking and transportation charges carry potential life-sentences.

The alleged plot was uncovered by the Pike County Sheriff’s Office back in September of last year while deputies were investigating the theft of more than 5,000 pills from the South Williamson Food City. Evidence was uncovered that Reed had allegedly been trading sexually explicit photos of herself and the minor in exchange for the drugs. At that point, Reed, along with Jacob West, age 31, were charged with human trafficking and other crimes.
