  • New cases today: 1,795
  • New deaths today: 11
  • Positivity rate: 6.24%
  • Total deaths: 1,503
  • Currently hospitalized: 1,037
  • Currently in ICU: 259
  • Currently on ventilator: 116
  • Total cases in KY: 111,379 (93,407 confirmed)
  • Total deaths: 1,503 (1,480 confirmed)
  • Total ever hospitalized: 7,344
  • Total ever in ICU: 1,778
  • Test Performed in KY: 2,086,115
  • Recovered from the virus:19,043

Kentucky Deaths due to COVID-19 by Age Group: (Age group was available for 99.95% of reported deaths)

  • 742 were 80+
  • 398 were 70-79
  • 235 were 60-69
  • 89 were 50-59
  • 28 were 40-49
  • 11 were 39 or younger

Top counties with the most positive cases today are: Jefferson, Fayette, Warren, Laurel, Boone and Kenton.

Those reported lost to the virus Tuesday were between the ages of 59 and 94.

They include: a 71-year-old man from Hardin County; four women, ages 86, 91, 92 and 94, and a 59-year-old man from Jefferson County; an 88-year-old woman from Monroe County; a 76-year-old man from Montgomery County; an 82-year-old woman and a 71-year-old man from Muhlenberg County; and a 78-year-old man from Ohio County.

United States Death due to COVID-19 by Age Group: (Age group was available for 172,499 (99%) of reported deaths)

  • 32.2% were from ages 85 or older (55,498)
  • 26.6 % were from ages 75-84 (45,876)
  • 21% were from ages 65-74 (36,190)
  • 15.3% were from ages 50-64 (26,316)
  • Deaths for those 49 or younger only make up 4.9% of deaths. (8,619)
