A Fayette Co. Official has been arrested

Carrie Lynn, 55 of Oak Hill was formerly the director of Fayette Co. Animal Control Center for numerous years, but resigned recently. She is alleged to have doctored payroll records saying she worked 45 hours a week at 12.75 an hour, but further investigation concluded she never got to work before 2 in the afternoon, and left when the center closed at 530, the complaint also alleges she gave herself a raise of 75 cents in January without permission from the Board. Investigators also say in September of last year Carr put 2 cats in desperate need of medical attention in cages in a room in the back until they died. Several complaints of animal abuse were also noted, she has been said to have denied veterinary care for a dog with a protruding uterus. In addition to these accusations, it has been said there was a heating crises, where Carr, as well as other employees asked for donations of blankets and portable heaters during the winter of 2014-2015but because they failed to check the levels in their propane tank. She has been charged with obtaining money under false pretenses, three felony counts of falsifying accounts, and three misdemeanor accounts of cruelty to animals.
