
As of 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20 the state of Kentucky has reported 3,433 new cases of COVID-19.

This makes a total of 3,243 Kentuckians lost to the virus; though 260 of those are probable and only 2,983 are lab confirmed.
A total of 3,819,530 COVID-19 test have been administered in Kentucky. 3,451,200 were PCR Test, 105,270 were serology test, and 263,060 were antigen test. The positivity rate currently stands at 11.29%.
Currently 1,678 Kentuckians are hospitalized due COVID-19 related symptoms. With 39 in the ICU and 205 on a ventilator.
Top counties with the most positive cases Wednesday were: Jefferson, Fayette, Kenton, Boone, Warren and Daviess. Each of these counties reported 120 or more new cases.
On a positive note, at least 41,240 Kentuckians have recovered from the virus. The Governor’s office also reports that a total of 232,127 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in KY, with 39,361 does being administered by the Long Term Care Facilities Program and the remaining 192,766 being administered statewide.
