On Wednesday, February 3rd, the state of Kentucky reported 2,592 new cases of COVID-19. This makes a total of 369,519 reported cases of COVID-19 in the commonwealth. 288,244 of those cases have been officially lab confirmed whereas the remaining 81,275 cases are probable.

This makes a total of 3,863 Kentuckians lost to the virus; though 340 of those are probable and only 3,523 have been officially lab confirmed.
A total of 4,111,126 COVID-19 test have been administered in Kentucky. 3,635,689 were PCR Test, 108,611 were serology test, and 366,826 were antigen test. The positivity rate currently stands at 8.53%.
Currently 1,340 Kentuckians are hospitalized due COVID-19 related symptoms. With 368 in the ICU and 171 on a ventilator.
Top counties with the most positive cases Wednesday were: Jefferson, Fayette, Kenton, Boone and Daviess. Each of these counties reported 100 or more new cases; Jefferson County alone reported 424.
At least 44,073 (11.93%) Kentuckians have recovered from the virus. The Governor’s office also reports that 410,050 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been received in Kentucky and 326,541 doses have been administered, statewide. Of the 80,925 doses received by the Long-Term Care Facility Program, 59,154 have been administered to long-term care facility residents and staff.
