Lexington police are searching for the driver who struck and killed a woman in Lexington around 1 am this morning.

Police say they received a call in the middle of the night regarding a car accident that involved a pedestrian. When police arrived they found a woman deceased on Bryan Station Road.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released. Bryan Station Road reopened at 4 am this morning.
