A Louisville 9 year old has been rushed to a hospital after accidentally shooting himself with a relative’s handgun, according to police.

The boy was found conscious and alert with a gunshot wound when police arrived. Investigators believe he was playing with the handgun and accidentally shot himself, he is expected to survive his injuries.
