A couple has entered a guilty plea Monday to charges of the death of one grandchild and the abuse of two others.

According to the Scioto county prosecuting attorney, 39 year old Sonja Greene pled guilty to aggravated murder and two counts of felony assault.

Her husband, 46 year old Richard Greene pled guilty to aggravated murder.

The child, 5 year old Annabelle Greene was flown to Columbus Hospital in July 2020 where she passed away.

Both parties were sentenced to life in prison with possibility of parole after 25 years. Sonja also will serve a 2 year sentence for each count of felony assault. Both being served consecutively one after another.

This sentencing was part of a plea agreement that the couple took that eliminated the need for a jury to be present. This plea will make it difficult for either party to appeal their sentencing.
