Elwood Bailey age 79 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Friday, April 30, 2021 at his home. He was born January 21, 1942 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Dorsey and Josephine Howard Bailey.

Elwood grew up on Bear Branch in Magoffin County, He met his soulmate Irene Allen and was married on May 26, 1965. From this union they have three sons, Terry (Narda) Bailey, Eddie Bailey, James (Crystal) Bailey, all of Salyersville, Kentucky.

Elwood made his living in construction and electrical, but he loved to fish, hunt, and use his hands to build things. He was a dedicated member of the Elk Creek Freewill Baptist Church.  Elwood was a family man and loved his family dearly.

Visitation will be held for family and friends Sunday, May 02, 2021 at the Magoffin County Funeral Home from 3:00 P.M. till 9:00 P.M.
