Governor Andy Beshear has spoken about his plans to slowly lift mandates and regulations in Kentucky as the state gets closer to 2.5 million vaccinations administered. Beshear says that all events that cater to less than 1,000 people will be able to hold 75% of their full capacity beginning on March 28th. Similarly, all events indoor or outdoor that cater to more than 1,000 people will be able to hold 60% of their full capacity. Beshear says he is hopeful for a vaccination surge as the Pfizer vaccine prepares to be approved for those age 12-15, saying once 2.5 million individuals are vaccinated that he will fully remove the mask mandate in the state. Both Governor Beshear and Dr. Steven Stack of the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services continue to advise residents to get both doses of a COVID19 vaccine to ensure the highest possible percentage of protection against the virus.
