Dr. Steven Stack of the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services joined Governor Andy Beshear to speak about the concerns that many residents have regarding the long term effects of COVID19, saying these symptoms will be difficult to track.

Dr. Stack says that it is currently believed that 10% of people who have the COVID19 virus will experience long term effects such as brain fog and fatigue and that these symptoms can potentially last months.

Dr. Steven Stack has also said that the vaccines are the most effective way to prevent serious or long term illness from the virus.

Governor Beshear also spoke on his plan to lift COVID19 regulations that have been placed on the state, saying he plans to lift restrictions this summer, and hopes that 2.5 million vaccination doses will be administered by that time.
