
Dawson Kean Isom, 24 of McCarr, KY passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at the Tug Valley Regional Medical Center Skilled Nursing Facility.
Dawson was born on March 13, 1997, in Cookeville, TN the son of David Isom of McCarr, KY and Crystal Cannon of Huddy, KY. Dawson was a 2015 graduate of Belfry High School, where he played varsity basketball and was the team captain. He loved to play basketball with his friends Steven Justice, Shane Justice, Matt Ford, Chase Stroud, Tre Price, Dakota Stanley, John Blackburn, Zach Spence, Kaleb Edwards, Nathan Copley, TJ Dotson, Gage Crank and Justin Crank at the McCarr park, which is now named after him. Dawson had a wonderful personality, he was always having fun, which made him fun to be around. Dawson always had a joke to tell and was almost as good looking as he thought he was. He had a big contagious smile and an even bigger heart.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the Tug Valley Regional Medical Center Skilled Nursing Facility, specifically, Angie Gregory, Tennisa Pack, Machele Owens, John Blackburn, Geraldine, Megan, Dr. Soma, and the entire staff for their excellent care. Also, everyone who has been so kind, loving, and supportive over the last 6 years.
A Celebration of Dawson’s Life will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021, at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home chapel from 6-9 PM. R.E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, KY is serving the Isom family. Online condolences may be made at rerogersfh.com.
