
A woman is facing a malicious wounding charge in connection with a stabbing Wednesday afternoon. According to Charleston Police, 21 year old Anna Marie Sharp of Charleston, stabbed a woman several times just after 1 p.m. in a hallway at the Vista View Apartments located on Renaissance Circle. The victim, who is 25 years old, has been stabilized at the hospital. Police say the two women argued before Sharp pulled out a knife. According to the criminal complaint, the victim was stabbed in the upper abdomen, her left underarm and her back. The victim told investigators she has known Sharp for about three years. Police say they found a knife in a bag that was thrown into the woods near Spring Hill Cemetery. CPD officers found Sharp walking along Slack Street and took her into custody shortly after the incident. A magistrate set Sharp’s bond at $50,000 cash.
