A man out of West Virginia was arrested in Pike County this past Friday evening after reports that he had pulled a gun and threatened to kill multiple people.

The Kentucky State Police received a call just before 7:00 PM, reporting that 54-year-old Carl Kennedy, of Simon, West Virginia, had been standing in the middle of Middle Fork Road at Ransom, firing a gun and threatening to kill multiple people within a nearby home.

When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Kennedy under a carport. Upon spotting them, officers say he began to immediately curse at and threaten them. He also attempted to reach for something in his pockets.

Kennedy was placed under arrest. Police are said to have found a .380 caliber pistol in his back pocket. Police also found bullet casings for that same caliber gun outside the home.

Kennedy now faces misdemeanor charges of terroristic threatening and menacing.
