A man out of Dickenson County has been arrested and charged with distributing meth and possessing a firearm during a drug trafficking crime.
57-year-old Bernard Anthony Murphy appears ready to plead guilty to those federal charges. The meth charge against him is punishable by up to 20-years in prison, but the gun-charge can potentially increase that sentence to life.
Murphy has signed a plea agreement and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
