Morehead budget cuts eradicate over 60 positions

In an email sent to staff and faculty on Thursday, Wayne Andrews, the President of Morehead State University summarized the school’s budget situation with his recommendation for reduction.  According to an article from WYMT those reductions include the termination of 64 positions, 30 being filled, 30 being vacant. The tennis program for men and women has already been suspended. The University says they could remove 13 tenured and tenure- track faculty positions that aren’t of value to the University, or have a low demand. A final  budget recommendation is expected to be presented to the Board of Regents June 10th
