Morrison Stepp Jr., age 47 of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of Paintsville, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital in Lexington, after battling a lifelong illness. Born July 9, 1974 in South Williamson, Kentucky he was the son of Morrison Stepp and Patty Grimsley Grace. He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Johnny Grace.
Morrison was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and greatest son in the world. He was a friend to everyone he met. His devotion to those he cared for is deeply admirable and continues to inspire those who knew him. With great patience, kindness, care and humor he led a life that was abundant in joy and full of incredible memories. It is hard to capture in words a life that was so rich with fantastical stories. He was gentle and genuine in his every intention, caring to no end. He was a person you would want in your corner, no matter the odds. Despite a life that had handed him poor health, there was never a moment where he was not handling it with grace and strength, cherishing every routine moment he got with the same reverence you would show to a major life event. The little things in life were what he treasured, the small moments of day-to-day life were golden.
Morrison was a great advocate for Eastern Kentucky, serving on multiple boards throughout the area. He spent 21 years as an account executive and later the general sales manager at WYMT-TV. He was a great friend to all his clients and coworkers who could always make you laugh. He will be greatly missed by everyone that loved and knew him.
