Wayne County Sheriff’s Department Officials have charged one man in an undercover investigation into the illegal sale of drugs.

 

Deputies served a search warrant at a home on Vine Street in Monticello. Someone had previously allegedly purchased drugs from that same house.

 

During the search, officers found four baggies of meth and one baggie of fentanyl. Officers also arrested Shirley L. Martin, of Monticello.

 

Martin was charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance. He is also said to have had a pre-existing warrant out of Clinton County.

 

He is currently being held in the Wayne County Detention Center.
